What Are New Smart Software Features Available for the Galaxy Smartphones? A Comparison of Features Available in the New Galaxies and Google’s Pixel 8 Series

The phones have features such as 5G connection, and wireless charging. The new Galaxies aren’t supported by the new wireless charging tech, but the current standard. After seven years of updates, the operating system will be similar to the one in theGoogle’sPixel 8 series. We talked about the new smart software features available in greater detail, and you can see them here. Let’s talk about how they are different.

If you buy from Amazon, you can take advantage of the same storage upgrade promotion, just choose the storage size you want, and you will see the lower price reflected. Make sure you save the code to redeem the $50 Amazon gift card, it’s free when you do. If you’d prefer to stick with the Samsung brand, you can get the additional $150 that comes with the bundles of the Buds 2 Pro earbuds.

WIRED always recommends buying unlocked your phone. It makes it easier to switch between carriers, unlike phones that are sold locked to a particular carrier’s network. Taking a locked phone to a new carrier requires contacting your carrier (or visiting their retail store) and jumping through a few hoops to make the device usable elsewhere. It’s easier to use data-only Sim cards when traveling if you go unlocked. There’s often a lot less bloatware installed on the phones when you buy one unlocked, and unlocked phones typically receive software updates more quickly than locked ones.

Should you upgrade? You don’t have to upgrade if you have the S23 or S22. If you have an issue with your battery or a problem with your phone’s computer, it’s likely that you can’t get it fixed. If your S21 is still making you mostly happy, save your cash and wait another year (or two). If you own an older phone, you should just know that it’s not the only option. Samsung phones also routinely go on sale, so if you’re not in a rush, it’s worth waiting for the next big holiday sale event to see how low prices drop for the S24 range.

There are more than one great phone. Phones are unnecessarily expensive these days, and Samsung is pushing prices toward the high end. A great phone doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to get. Our guides for best cheap phones and best android phones are a lot easier to like than you might think.
