It is really thin with the new iPad Pro

Personalized Pencils for iPads: Custom Interactions for Procreate Dreams and Procreate’s Find My Device Location System with Final Cut Camera

A notable drawback here is compatibility — the Apple Pencil Pro is only supported on the newly announced M2 iPad Air and M4 OLED iPad Pro models, so users with older hardware won’t be able to upgrade their stylus. While the Apple pencil pro gives you better access to software, the pens on dedicated drawing tablets are better for comfort and personalization.

There are also custom interactions that can be created for the Apple Pencil Pro. Procreate CEO James Cuda provided examples of brushes that respond in completely different ways thanks to the Barrel Roll feature or the squeeze feature. The Barrel Roll feature allows for simultaneous movement and rotation of objects while recording actions in Procreate Dreams.

Adding a support for Apple’s Find My device location system is a welcome update for users who frequently lose their stylus. It is easier to misplace a slim, pencil-shaped device, and I know how frustrating and expensive it is to replace an Apple Pencil that inevitably turns up months later after you have already torn your home apart.

Final Cut Camera supports live multi camera production and is being launched by Apple. The app syncs with the updated Final Cut Pro app and lets users connect multiple iPhones or iPad to capture additional angles during a live multiCAM shoot or record professional video.

The Apple Pencil at Let Loose: What do we have to say about the new iPads? How much are we willing to let the iPads fall?

The Apple Pencil is one of the iPad accessories getting an upgrade. A larger trackpad with haptic feedback, a function row and a refreshed Magic Keyboard can be seen in the video. It also comes in silver and space black to match the iPad Pro.

The iPad Pro received a physical upgrade, as well as a new M4 processor. The new iPad Pro comes in silver and space black, along with 256GB of base storage. The 11-inch model costs $999, while the 13-inch version goes for $1,299.

Speaking of the M4, Apple took the wraps off its new processor during its event. It comes with a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU and is built using the more efficient 3nm process. Apple says that the chip is 50 percent faster than the M2 and that it is powerful for artificial intelligence.

The iPad Air has been added to the lineup as a cheaper and lighter alternative to the iPad Pro. The M2 chip that Apple included with the new model was an upgrade from the M1 chip that was included with the previous model.

Additionally, Apple revealed new AI-powered features for its digital audio workstation, Logic Pro, including a new virtual bass player and keyboard player.

The newest additions to the iPad lineup was shown off by Apple at its Let Loose event. The event also had refreshed accessories and updated software, so we got a first look.

It’s such a big difference that the larger model, which I’ve always felt was kind of preposterously huge, feels much more comfortable to hold and use. It is 13 inches larger now than it was before. You can tell the difference between the Pro and the new Air from practically across the room, and as someone who has carried around an 11-inch Pro for the last year and a half, it’s really a big difference. The biggest question I have for now is about fragility: is the new Pro potentially too thin? There are always tradeoffs with a device like this, but it feels rigid and sturdy in my hands. We have lots of testing to do.

The M4 chip on the iPad: a fast device for extreme applications in photo and music production, for Final Cut Pro and some other applications

The M4 chip is used to power the whole thing. Well, we’ll have to see. The iPad has enough power for most uses and the M4 is obviously meant to be used in very intense use cases, like Final Cut Pro or some of the more advanced artistic features. It was very fast in the demo. The iPad is very fast.
