Some retailers pull weighted infant sleepwear because of safety concerns
US Senator Richard Blumenthal said that Dreamland, which makes weighted baby sleepwear, made a false claim that its products “exceeded all CPSC standards because there’s no standard for infant sleepwear”. Blumenthal added that FDA has no right to ban Dreamland’s products containing an additional weight. Dreamland said it believes its weighted sleepwear is safe and that critics proved otherwise.
Tech executives are released by Republicans
US Republicans, during a hearing on Wednesday, released thousands of emails and other non-public documents which they claim show that the White House “coerced” companies to suppress free speech. Democrats claimed that the Republicans were holding the hearing to “influence” the Supreme Court opinion in Murthy v. Murthy case, a case that’s still pending at the Supreme Court.
One scientist went home to Lithuania because of bioinformatics
Nobel Prize winner Juozas Gordeviius, Founder of Vugene institute and a Nobel Prize winner, has said that biomedical collaboration in Lithuania is a case study in the beginnings of biomedical collaboration in the country. He added that the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) chose Vilnius University’s Life Science Center to partner with it to develop genome-editing technologies.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal, which was a piece of legislation passed by the US Congress, has lapsed. The deal allows families to receive a $30 monthly credit on their broadband bills if they had an income below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline per year.
