The one ring that could be the one ring to rule is the GALAXY ring by SAMSUNG

A Minimal Health Tracker – A Smart Ring’s Optimum Geometrical Measurement Tool (GEOMETRIC)

Most of us use a tracker to track our health and fitness. The tech’s miniaturization has improved and so have the smart rings, who doesn’t want to wear a small ring to keep tabs on their health?

It’s 7mm wide and 2.6mm thick, but when worn next to my Oura Ring it felt more streamlined. It’s also lightweight, though not noticeably so compared to other smart rings. It weighs between 2.3 and 3g, depending on the size. There are at least nine sizes, ranging from size five to 13.

Smart-Rings with Extras: Energy Scores, Wellness Tips, Cycle Tracking, and a Double Tap Gesture for the Galaxy

Those include the new Energy Score and Wellness Tips features. The former uses artificial intelligence to determine your feeling based on sleep, activity, and sleeping heart rate variability. It’s similar to the various readiness metrics other health trackers have begun incorporating over the past few years. The latter gives you personalized insights into your well-being that is very similar to what Oura Ring and other competitors offer. Some other health features include cycle tracking and a high and low heart rate alert.

But the coolest example of this is that if you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, you can use a double pinch gesture to control your phone’s camera or dismiss an alarm hands-free. The double tap gesture is the same as the pinchy pinch for the Apple Watch. Is it just a publicity stunt? I found it very cool when I tried it. I have yet to see this on any other smart ring, even though getting the gesture right takes a little trial and error. Unfortunately, it’ll be limited to the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 at launch. I was told it would be coming to the S 24 very soon.
