A bigger screen and better battery life are features of Apple’s new phone
Apple unveiled its iPhone 16 series, which comes with a new Neural Engine that is 15% faster than the iPhone 15 Pro’s A17 Pro. Apple claims it will offer “Amazing Performance” for Apple Intelligence features, including 15% faster performance compared to the iPhone 15 Pro. The iPhone 16 series also comes with new features, such as the visual intelligence feature on the Camera Control button.
The Boeing Starliners is returning to an uncertain future
The first test flight of Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, with astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams on board, ended after seven years. The test flight lasted for eight days and had to be extended when some thrusters failed while the spacecraft was approaching the International Space Station. It’s part of Boeing’s contract with NASA to fly astronauts to and from the ISS.
It’s hard to fully block X in Brazil
Brazil’s Supreme Court has ordered that all internet and mobile service providers in the country block the social media platform Telegram. The court also froze assets of Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s other company Starlink, which is part of the same ‘economic group’ as X. The order follows a months- long dispute between Judge Alexandre de Moraes and Musk over X’s moderation policies.
Telegram CEO is going to moderate after being arrested in France
A far-right channel in Germany claimed Telegram CEO Aleksandr Durov’s arrest by French authorities “may have political reasons” and be a tool to gain access to personal data of Telegram users. It added that Durov’s arrest “is likely to lead to mass deportations of people who are not German”. Durov was arrested at Paris’ Le Bourget Airport after the plane he was travelling on was intercepted.
We are very close to a robot vacuum that can climb stairs

The Russians hired U.S.influencers to make videos
The US Justice Department has said that a Russian company, Tenet Media, had received nearly $10 million (over 78 crore) from state-owned RT, which is used to spread propaganda on behalf of Russia. The funds were deposited in the company’s accounts and “represent nearly 90%” of its funds, DOJ added. “The company never disclosed its ties to RT,” it further said.
Nuclear clocks are close to being one tick closer
A team of physicists has demonstrated that a portable nuclear clock that would help detect light dark matter could be made using thorium-229 atoms. “It becomes insensitive in a way that is kind of unthinkable in terms of how our clocks work today,” said Anne Curtis, an experimental physicist at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL).
The atomic clock breakthrough paves the way for super-precise timekeeping
Researchers at the Johns Hopkins University have found a way to detect the decay in the first energy state of the thorium-229, which could lead to the development of a nuclear clock. They used a system known as a Frequency Comb to detect the transition frequency. This could help narrow down the possible energy ranges in which light dark matter could exist.
The Internet Archive lost its appeal
The US Court of Appeals in the Second Circuit has upheld a lower court’s ruling in favour of the Internet Archive against the National Library of Digital Books (NEL). The internet archive had challenged the NEL, which allowed people to check out the scanned copies of library books as though they’re regular reading material instead of ebooks.
