The new 14th Gen mobile processor from Intel are for gaming laptops

MSI has unveiled the Titan 18 HX, a 15.6-inch gaming laptop with an NVIDIA RTX 4080 or 4090 graphics card as well as Intel’s new 14th-generation Core i9 14900HX processor. The laptop has a 24-inch LED-backlit display with 3840 x 2400 resolution and 120Hz refresh. It also has three M.2 SSD slots, three M.2 SSD slots (one of which is PCIe Gen 5).

Volkswagen says that it will place the chat system in its cars

Automaker Volkswagen and AI startup OpenAI have announced that they are collaborating on a voice assistant called ‘IDA’. The voice assistant can be used to control infotainment, navigation, and air conditioning, or to answer general knowledge questions. IDA is based on Openai’s LLM technology and will be available in Volkswagen cars later this year, OpenAI said.

The US launches its first moon-bound lander

NASA launched the first mission to land a private space company’s robotic lander on the Moon. The mission is called ‘Artemis’ and it aims to return humans to the Moon’s surface within the next few years. The mission is the first through NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) programme, in which the agency pays private companies to deliver scientific instruments to the Moon’s surface.

There is expected to be snow and ice on the East Coast

The US Northeast and New England region will see up to a foot of snow over the next few days, the National Weather Service (NWS) said on Saturday. As the snow shifts northeast through Sunday afternoon, the Appalachian mountains, the interior Northeast and New England could see up to a foot of snow in several areas, it added.

Boeing asked the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for a safety exemption for its 737 MAX 9 aircraft in order to expedite certification process, The Seattle Times reported. This comes after the first US commercial flight of the Boeing 737 MAX 9 took place in December 2020 and a window and piece of the fuselage on one such plane blew out in midair.
