The US Department of Justice (DOJ) in its appeal against Google’s antitrust victory said on Tuesday that the company has blocked competitors from getting into business with mobile carriers, manufacturers and retailers. It asked the US District Court to order Google to share its search results with other rivals. The government also wants Google to spin off its Chrome browser.

ChatGPT’s Head of Product Nick Turley testified on the fourth day of the Justice Department’s Remedies trial that OpenAI would be interested in buying Chrome. He further said that OpenAI already has web search features baked into ChatGPT, so it makes sense that the company would be interested in owning a widely used browser to potentially bring ChatGPT to even more users.
The Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders are going to open at 11AM
Nintendo has announced the price for the preorder of the Nintendo Switch 2, which went on sale in the US on Tuesday. The console will come with a pair of Joy-Con 2 controllers, which magnetically Attach to the console and feature a new ‘C-button’, a shortcut to Nintendo’s new in-game chat feature GameChat. The console is expected to be priced at about $399.99.

It added that it expects the preorders to be caught up within the hour, adding, “It should be arriving soon if you didn’t receive a confirmation email.” The Switch 2 has a Joy-Con 2 controller that can be magnetically attached to the console. It also has a new button called Gamechat.

Amazon and Walmart are offering pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 console with Gamechat and Screen Protector. The bundle includes a console-only carrying case, screen protector, and cleaning cloth. The pre-order is available for $39.99 at Best Buy, Target and Walmart in the US. It comes with two Joy-Con 2 controllers, which can be used to chat with other players.

GameStop has announced that preorders of the Nintendo Switch 2 will be available starting April 24 at 11 am ET and 8 am PT. GameStop added that the online preorder for the system will begin on April 24 at 11 am and will end on June 5 at 9 am. The console was launched on March 27 in Japan, and will launch in Europe on May 3.

The US Department of Justice on Monday opened its antitrust trial against Google over its search engine business. Google’s lawyers argued that the DOJ’s list of remedies for the case is a “wishlist for competitors” and that it will enable competitors to get resources that took Google decades to develop. Google had been found to be a monopoly in the case.
