Apple’s new rules are going to be tested by a Spotify app
Patreon has unveiled an update for its app to allow users to purchase subscriptions from other apps without Apple’s approval. It has also added a Transparency button to allow users to see pricing details on subscriptions and information about promotions that will save them money. This comes after the US Supreme Court ruled that Apple must not take a cut of non-Apple payments.
Apple doesn’t seem to be concerned with Trump’s tariffs
Apple’s stock fell the most in five years on April 3, 2018, after US President Donald Trump announced his tariffs. Notably, Apple’s iPhone sales fell by 20% in the April-March quarter compared to a year ago.
Apple is not very worried about Trump’s tariffs
Apple CEO Tim Cook has said that the iPhone maker will be able to withstand the trade war between the US and China. “I don’t think it is going to be a huge impact on us because we have half of the sales in the US from India,” he added. Earlier, Cook had said the US and China would face a trade war until they resolve their differences.
