After a decade away, Panasonic TVs have come back to the US

The Z95A, 55-inch, and 65-inch LCD TVs from Panasonic: Where do they come from? What you need to know before you buy a TV

Three models are now available in the US: 55- and 65-inch OLED options and a Mini LED TV that goes up to 85 inches for those wanting to go big. Panasonic already sells them internationally with “minor regional differences,” but in the US, they will continue to run Amazon’s Fire TV OS.

It is now possible to get the Z85A for 55 inches or 65 inches at a much cheaper price than the Z95A.

The Z95A is one of the best TV brands on the market right now due to its color accuracy, shadow detailing, and support for the most popular formats, according to a new review by the man who created the channel, HDTVTest.

The Z95A may appeal most to those without dedicated sound bars or surround sound setups. A built-in subwoofer, speakers that fire forward, upward, and to the sides, as well as a brand of audio that fires forward, upward, and to the sides, were used by the company to tune the TV. Using software tricks, you can even direct the TV’s audio to a specific spot in the room.

The small lineup of Panasonic TVs in the US include both Mini and OLED models. The company ceased production of its well-regarded plasma screens in 2010 and stopped selling its TVs in the US three years later. The company is now bringing its TVs back to meet the demands of “consumers seeking the highest possible picture quality.”

All three models are available now in limited sizes, as Panasonic begins its slow walk back to competing against LG, Samsung, and Sony. Here is what you need to know.
