Reply to Musk on the Trump-Motorola Tax Cuts and the “Pork-Filled, Dumb, and Beautiful” Measure
Trump said Musk was similar to other former staffers who left to become critics and that he missed being at the White House.
He said that Musk “knew the inner workings of this bill better than almost anybody” and never had a problem after he left. On X, Musk quickly countered, claiming “this bill was never shown to me even once.”
Musk, who for months led the Trump administration’s government-slashing unit until he left the role last week, has been actively attacking the megabill for days, calling it “pork-filled” and a “disgusting abomination.”
“In the entire history of civilization, there has never been legislation that both big and beautiful,” Musk posted Thursday. Everyone knows this! Either you get a large bill or a small bill. Slim and beautiful is the way.”
The world is different and they’re hostile, I’m unsure what it is. Donald Trump and the Dragon: Breakup advice from Musk and Mace
They leave, and before you know it, the glamor is gone. “The world is different and they are hostile, I’m not sure what it is,” Trump said.
May is over, but it seems the meltdowns are just beginning. Right now, we’re watching two men with leverage over each other fight with vague threats and public information. But that fight just keeps escalating, and the stakes could not be higher.
The alleged member of Musk’s coterie of baby mamas decided to chime in on the matter. If you need any breakup advice, I want to hear it from real DonaldTrump, who is engaged to Musk.
Meanwhile, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee are attempting to subpoena Musk. Nancy Mace (R-SC) suspended the hearing to give Republicans time to arrive and vote against the subpoena. Should Trump demand it, it’s easy to imagine another vote happening — one that hauls Musk in front of Congress.
Two of them have been Thieves for at least a year now. The current beef involves a lot of public information. (Trump was known to be pals with Epstein; Musk’s allegation that it’s why the files weren’t released is new.) I wonder if they have any dirt on each other from spending that much time together, and how much destruction that information could cause.
Musk, on the other hand, hasn’t sent that $100 million check, and may choose not to after this contretemps. He also has enough money to fund many primaries across the country, as well as to engage in aggressive lobbying against the bill or any future pet Trump project. If SpaceX contracts are canceled, that may strand some military satellites, too.
After the market closed, Musk posted, “In light of the President’s statement about cancellation of my government contracts,SpaceX will begin its Decommissioning of the Dragon spacecraft immediately.” The SpaceX Dragon is used to fly cargo and crew to the International Space Station.

Trump & Musk, the girls are fighting ggg: How bad are the posts? What do they need to know? What does it need to happen? Why shouldn’t we have to think about it?
I would question the use of that word in that sentence. That is a really actionable threat. Who is keeping track at this point? It would probably ruin what was left of NASA in a big way.
Now, both of these men are excellent at commanding attention, and this is a reality-TV squabble playing out on social media. It is not nice. The posting by a government contractor about the deficit is serving up a nice volley. Trump spiked it.
Stephen Miller, as well as the pundit Charlie Kirk, were unfollowed by Musk. He put up a poll about the creation of a new political party that represented 80% of the electorate and posted old clips of himself saying that the federal deficit needed to come down. The poll is, as of this writing, pinned to Musk’s profile. “Yes” is in the lead with 83 percent of the votes.
Donald Trump and his friend and business partner Musk are both on their own social media networks and are torching their relationship by posting about it. I don’t buy the theories that this is kayfabe. Trump and Musk have publicly shit-talked people, including each other, before turning around and working with them. But this is real; threats are being made. I’m just not sure how serious it is.
