The 16-inch MacBook Pro comes with M3 Max display, has an Intel Core i5-7200U processor and 16 GB RAM. The 13-inch MacBook Pro comes with the Intel Core i5-6200U processor and 16 GB RAM.

Amazon has started its annual Prime Day event where the online retailer slashes prices on thousands of items, including hardware, for customers. Amazon is offering a 50% discount on a variety of devices, including Kindles, Echos, Fire TV Stick and Scribes among others. Some of the biggest discounts are being offered on Kindles with up to 35% off, Amazon said.
The AT&T phone records are at risk of being compromised
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance’s former investigator Tigran Gambaryan, detained last month for allegedly stealing millions of dollars from Nigeria, has been classified as a hostage. Gambaryan was detained alongside a colleague in mid-March on charges that Binance had devalued the country’s fiat currency and enabled “illicit” transfer of funds. Several of his alleged hackers remain at large, with multimillion-dollar bounties on their heads.
The Falcon 9 rockets have been grounded after an in-flight failure
SpaceX blamed a liquid oxygen leak on Falcon 9’s second stage for the failed launch of its Starlink internet satellites. Falcon 9’s second stage performed its first burn nominally, however a Liquid Oxygen Leak developed on the second stage. SpaceX said it will work with the Federal Aviation Administration to get to the bottom of the incident.

The European Commission is looking into whether Elon Musk-led platform X has done enough to combat hate speech. The commission said that X’s ‘blue check’ system negatively affects users’ ability to make free decisions about authenticity of accounts and the content they interact with. It may face fines of up to 6% of its global revenue if it doesn’t address EU’s three grievances.

AT&T has said that it found that the phone numbers of its current and former users have been exposed due to a data breach. It added that it’s notifying affected customers via text, email or US mail. The company has urged users to check their webpage and report any suspicious text activity to the AT&T team.

AT&T has said that a security breach involving some of its data may have affected over 70 million US customers, who used its services between October 2016 and March 2017. It also said the data does not include any time stamps for the calls or texts. AT&T is notifying affected customers by text, email or US mail and has also set up a webpage.

It’s believed to be the first time scientists have been able to produce a multidimensional version of the genome of a complex extinct species. The feat was achieved by creating a three-dimensional version of the genome of a woolly mammoth.
