Changpeng was sentenced to four months in prison

Cryptocurrency startup CZ’s Co-founder and CEO Jia Zhao has been sentenced to 18 months in jail in the US. He was found guilty of violating US anti-money laundering law by allowing sanctions violations by Iranian customers, who moved nearly $1 billion through his firm between 2016 and 2017. Prosecutors requested a sentence of over two years in jail, citing Zhao’s willingness to plead guilty and take responsibility.
