Indigenous Climate Action Executive Director Eriel Deranger has said that people from the indigenous communities have been “left out of climate action” and have “no voice”. Deranger, an indigenous Chipewyan First Nation member, added, “Indigenous peoples are still largely relegated to the sidelines. We don’t know where we’re going to end up.” He further said, “We’ve a lot of work to do.”
