The US state of Alabama has passed a bill to allow patients and clinics to immediately restart in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment without fear of legal repercussions if embryos are damaged or destroyed during the medical procedure. The law will also permit the University of Alabama to restart in-vitro fertilization treatments. The US Supreme Court had recently struck down the state’s in-vitro fertilization law.
