It will take at least several weeks to clear Baltimore’s shipping channel

The US city of Baltimore has closed its port for several days after a huge container ship crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge. The debris from the ship’s crash is being removed so that maritime traffic can resume. The closure of the shipping channel is costing $191 million a day in lost economic activity, the International Longshoremen’s Association Local 333 said.
