A U.S. military official says that Israel launched missile strikes into Iran

Iranian state media on Friday said that loud sounds heard east of Isfahan were the sound of air defenses intercepting what it called a “suspicious target” and no damage was reported in the area. The attack came after Iran fired around 300 missiles at Israel last week in response to the latter’s airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.
