One scientist went home to Lithuania because of bioinformatics

Nobel Prize winner Juozas Gordeviius, Founder of Vugene institute and a Nobel Prize winner, has said that biomedical collaboration in Lithuania is a case study in the beginnings of biomedical collaboration in the country. He added that the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) chose Vilnius University’s Life Science Center to partner with it to develop genome-editing technologies.
