Researchers in the US have found that myeloid-biased haematopoietic stem cells are common in old human blood stem cells and can be removed with effective anti-tumor therapies. The researchers said this may help in the treatment of malignant diseases like melanoma and leukaemia. They added that they are working on a different approach to dealing with old human blood stem cells.
