Microsoft has released a new ‘universal’ wireless controller that can be used across Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s cloud services. The controller is compatible with Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck. The controller also features a gyroscope and magnetic Hall-effect sticks that can be “float-resistant”, similar to the Joy-Con controllers. It’s expected to launch on October 8.

Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and S consoles will come with a new controller codenamed ‘Scubille’ that’ll support gyro support and “VCA haptics double as speakers”, according to leaked documents. As per reports, the VCA haptics will be a “precision haptic feedback” feature. Microsoft said it plans to subsidize Series X and S consoles to the tune of $1.5 billion in order to hit launch price targets.

The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) said that its lawsuit against Microsoft and Twitter was an attempt to “silence” it for its independent research.
