Video chat site Omegle is shutting down after 14 years

A US court has forced video chat platform omegle to close after a 14-year-old victim filed a lawsuit claiming she was sexually abused by a 20-year-old man. In 2014, omegle matched her with Ryan Fordyce, who was then in his mid-thirties. In his farewell note, KBrooks, the man who founded omegle, said people working as moderators monitored the site and moderated it.
