The first images from the world’s largest camera leave us in awe

The Rubin Observatory, the largest telescope in the world, has made its first image, which it said is the first-ever image of the southern sky. “It’s a very special telescope,” said Scott Sheppard, an astronomer with Carnegie Science. “Since we take images of the night sky so quickly… we’ll detect millions of changing objects literally every night,” an astronomer said.
