total solar eclipse

The skies over the U.S. were darkened by a solar eclipse

The US is set to witness its first total solar eclipse in over a century on Tuesday. The eclipse, which is the result of a rare alignment between Earth and the Sun, is the first time the US has seen a total solar eclipse from coast to coast since 1918. The path of totality in the US ranges from Oregon to South Carolina.

We’re going to give you all the information you need to take a last-minute drive to see the eclipse

The total solar eclipse will take place on April 8 across the US and it will be visible in several parts of America. However, when there is a partial eclipse, it must be worn to look at the sun during its time when it is completely obscured by the moon. If you are unable to watch the full eclipse, you should still be able to see something.
