Workers are demanding Job Security in the future of transport

The United Auto Workers is on strike against Ford, General Motors and Stellantis as they’re trying to “undermine workers” through the transition to electric vehicles, the union said. Some of the plants that the legacy automakers needed to pull off the transition have been stood up mostly in US states hostile to union organising, such as Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.

The Big Three autoworkers are about to go on strike

The United Auto Workers (UAW) union has said that it will go on strike on September 25 over a contract offer from the Big Three US automakers. The union claims its members have made big concessions over the last 20 years because of foreign competition and the economic downturn. The Big Three are General Motors, Ford and Fiat Chrysler.
